Questions
- What happens when I hit the ceiling?
- Writes stop. Reads never do — everything you have stays readable, loadable and forkable, and nothing is deleted. Free something up or upgrade, and writes resume.
- Do private tacos cost extra?
- No, and they never will. Unlimited tacos, public or private, on every plan. Capture is the loop the whole product exists for; walling it would be charging you to start.
- Is there an API key to manage?
- No. Your client registers itself and sends you through a browser sign-in once. There is nothing to copy, paste, rotate or leak.
- Why is there a per-taco limit as well?
- Because forking bills the forker for what the fork holds. A taco with no ceiling would be unforkable — one fork could exhaust a whole account. The per-taco cap is 10% of the account cap on both plans: 10 MB of 100 MB, 1 GB of 10 GB.
- What about teams?
- Not yet. Contextaco is unlimited for individuals today; shared workspaces are what a team plan will sell when it ships.
- Can I downgrade?
- Any time. If you are over the free ceiling afterwards, reads and forks keep working — writes wait until you are back under it.
